It's such a simple #SaturdayMorningHustle concept: #SocialMedia - Platforms for people to connect with each other from anywhere at anytime without limitations. It's like everyone is invited to the party, class, meeting, conference, exhibition, etc. no matter where you are or how you get there. BUT the platforms quickly declined into the home of trolls, spammers and scam artist. There is hope!⠀

I'm seeing a shift in how people understand social media, the internet, mobile technology, etc. and it's for the good. Entrepreneurs, marketers and business decision-makers are pulling back from selling and doing a better job of communicating by being social. Like the wise man once said, start with your WHY long before you get to the how, what and for how much.⠀
⠀
Don't use SM to prospect wide and close what you can, but instead tell your story and connect with people as people. What you want them to do (buy something, go somewhere, support a cause, vote, riot, etc.) will naturally occur once you take the opportunity to create relationships. THAT is what social media is supposed to do. ⠀

If you want something bad enough, you have to hustle for it. You can’t just work 9-5 Monday through Friday and hope to become the next big thing. You must work smart, work hard and put in the extra effort while everyone is else is sleeping, playing or just wasting time. For me, that “bonus” time to get extra work done and set myself up for a more successful week to come is on Saturday morning. No phone calls, no emails and no one around the office to distract me. It’s easier to stay in bed on the weekend, but big things don’t happen the easy way.⠀

“The process of adding succession planning, within a family or not, is not a complicated process for an operating business with a business plan, standard operating procedures and a defined structure in place,” he said. “In this scenario, succession planning is an extension of the current structure. For a small business or startup, there would be more work building the succession planning into the other necessary strategic planning.⠀
