Better Processes From Epic Fails #SaturdayMorningHustle Ep290. Let's talk about blowing it. Not just a mistake, but screwing up big time. This happened to me last week. I had an opportunity to present my expertise to a room full of top Oklahoma City CEOs and I blew it. The week before that, I missed an opportunity to be "in the right place at the right time" because I chose to not attend an event. The week before that, I missed a great new client by failing to follow up correctly.

I was very clear and direct in my response to the political conversation about business profit and loss in response to the raising of corporate taxes. We're discussing The Friedman Doctrine that a firm's sole responsibility is to its shareholders. This shareholder primacy approach views shareholders as the economic engine of the organization and the only group to which the firm is socially responsible. 1 week ago today I failed miserably at something I put a lot of effort and attention into. It sucks to lose! But the fresh perspective I gained is actually motivating me to be much, much better at what I do. I set my sights too low. Now, I know there are greater goals to achieve. Let's go!

Thus, they feel like an imposter. That's imposter syndrome.
