You probably suck at something, right? We all do, so why let that hold you back from trying something new or developing better talents, skills & expertise? Go from suck to proficient to an expert to a master be focusing on getting better, not on failing. On the #SaturdayMorningHustle today we're talking about how to start at the beginning, work the process, learn, develop, adjust and practice (with a massive amount of patience) until you start progressing your way through the stages (amateur to master). The key is an open mind and a positive attitude. We can't achieve perfection, but we can continually strive for better. Focus on improving, not on what you lack. ⠀⠀ Hit me up in the comments below or on Anchor, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube with questions, comments and feedback. The key to success: Change Management. #SaturdayMorningHustle Flashback 3 years ago this week + 2020 #COVID19 updated strategy. ⠀ ⠀ The key to business success is how you handle change. Winning comes from making small movements, not large pivots or failure to change at all. Business change can come from losing or gaining a client, losing your best employee or new competitor entering your market. Do not overreact! Stick to your business plan, strategy and marketing tactics as long as you can until it's evident that you must make a change. The market will tell you when it's time for adjustments. ⠀ ⠀ When you do make changes, do it concisely and decisively. Winning at business means being able to handle change better than the other people in your space. Adapt and adjust. You can't be the "flavor of the week" and try something new all the time, but you also can't stick to "this is how we've always done it" and never make adjustments. Choose a happy medium between the two concepts. ⠀ . . . . #SaturdayMorningHustle The Accidental Entrepreneur – If I can do it, you can do it. Can you believe I have owned or operated my own business (of some sort) for over 30 years now? I didn't even know the word Entrepreneur when I started. Now, I'm a full-time #Entrepreneur helping others do the same. It's not for everyone, but everyone can benefit from adding an entrepreneurial mindset. ⠀ ⠀ @TheGoldingGroup is the latest in a long line of business ventures I have been involved in since my first when I was just 15 years old. To hear the full story, from the music business to marketing to business development, listen then make a comment with your own story.⠀ ⠀ Saturday Morning Hustle Flashback – I posted a social media video 3 years ago (swipe right) fully explained along with what makes an entrepreneur, why new businesses are important and what this means for non-entrepreneurs. Today, I'm expanding on that idea and going WAY deeper into the process, the unexpected events and what it all means. ⠀ ⠀ Hit me up on Anchor, Instagram, Twitter or here on YouTube with questions, comments and feedback. It's a very meta #SaturdayMorningHustle sharing advice I was given about the Saturday Morning Hustle brand, future and achieving possibilities. Today I'm sharing input from a trusted friend and advisor who "called me out" in the most constructive way possible in regard to me being serious about the SMH podcast, social media, website, products and overall brand without losing what it is that makes the concept behind the hustle so important. By doing a better job on the business side, my #SideHustle just might become more important and impactful to more people.⠀ ⠀ I will translate the advice my friend gave me into actionable steps you can take for your career, self-brand, artistic or entrepreneurial pursuits. LISTEN TO THE PODCAST FOR A FULL 24 MINUTES ON THIS ADVICE:⠀ ⠀ 1. A Self-Brand should be treated as a business⠀ 2. You might be too close to see the big picture⠀ 3. Collaboration and outside input is essential⠀ 4. No excuses (duh!)⠀ and I add a few more ideas of my own to round out this discussion.⠀ 5. Challenges are always good⠀ 6. Strive for more, but be yourself⠀ 7. Leave your comfort zone, but not your ethical limits⠀ 8. There is no perfect time to start⠀ 9. Things change, be patient while being assertive ⠀ ⠀ Listen, Stream or Subscribe to the #SaturdayMorningHustle podcast⠀ iTunes: http://bit.ly/SatMornHustle⠀ Spotify: http://bit.ly/SaturdayMorningHustle⠀ Anchor: https://anchor.fm/satmorninghustle⠀ Google Podcast: https://bit.ly/SMHGooglePod⠀ Google Play Music: http://bit.ly/SMHGooglePlay⠀ Podchaser: https://bit.ly/SMHPodChaser⠀ Podbean: http://bit.ly/SMHpodbean⠀ YouTube: https://bit.ly/SMHvideos⠀ https://saturdaymorninghustle.com⠀ ⠀ Hit me up with questions, comments and feedback.
