What Do Community Events & Q4 2020 Have In Common? #SaturdayMorningHustle Flashback 3 and 4 years ago this week. Still a GREAT idea and maybe more important in 2020 than it was in 2017/16. . . . . . (Swipe 1) Here's a #SaturdayMorningHustle idea for you. Replace one of your "traditional" marketing buys with a creative community collaboration event to benefit a local nonprofit, school or cause. Bring together as many local businesses as needed. The key is not selling anything or asking for anything for your business. Just do good in your community. The positive attention will benefit your business (and all involved) better than an ad or commercial. Stay connected to the nonprofit, creating additional attention for them and you. Good luck! (Swipe 2) Flashback 4 years ago. Get some bonus time in while your competitors sleep. #GoodLuck #MakeYourOwnSuccess #Entrepreneur #WorkSmart then #WorkHard #Business #Success #Truth #EvenOnTheWeekend #CoffeeAndDonuts #Grind #Hustle #StartUpLife #NoExcuses #BusinessOwner #Leadership #Dedication #Commitment The Universe doesn't owe you anything, so #GetToWork and stop complaining. – 2016 advice that’s still highly valid in 2020. #SaturdayMorningHustle Flashback topic from 3 years ago: Focus for Success! Harness the power of focus to create successful opportunities for yourself. Never do something simply because you “can” or because there’s money to be made. Instead, focus on activities you have passion for it. Don’t chase money, because it never works out correctly. Stay in your lane. Stay focused.⠀ ⠀ One of the excuses I often hear for not focusing on a singular or small set of activity is missing opportunities. But not focusing most often takes a business in too many directions at the same time. Focus on your core offerings instead of diluting your brand your message and your communication. Be the best at what you do, not a jack-of-all-trades / master of none. ⠀ ⠀ Good luck! Let me know how I can help you and your business. I'm here to help (and drink coffee). Hit me up on Anchor, Instagram, Twitter or YouTube with questions, comments and feedback. It's Saturday, I'm in the office so it must be the Saturday Morning Hustle. Listen to the podcast every weekend while your competition is still sleeping. https://saturdaymorninghustle.com⠀ iTunes: http://bit.ly/SatMornHustle⠀ Spotify: http://bit.ly/SaturdayMorningHustle⠀ Anchor: https://anchor.fm/satmorninghustle⠀ Google Podcast: https://bit.ly/SMHGooglePod⠀ YouTube: https://bit.ly/SMHvideos⠀ ⠀ Swipe right for 2017 "The word of the day is FOCUS!" #SaturdayMorningHustle advice: Stay in your lane, do that thing you do the way you do it. Too many people look at ways others are making money or having success and want to add that to what they are already doing. This is a terrible idea.⠀ ⠀ The best business is very specifically focused on a core offering. That is what people expect and like about doing business with you. Adding extras for no reason other than you can do it (but you're not the best at it) or just to make "easy" money dilutes your brand, message, customer experience, staff attention, etc…. PLUS you will be competing with those you are copying. The advantage is theirs.”⠀ ⠀ To be successful, stay focused!" #Focus #Strategy #Specialize #Success #Hustle #Grind #EvenOnTheWeekend #WorkSmart then #WorkHard #Entrepreneur

The key to success: Change Management. #SaturdayMorningHustle Flashback 3 years ago this week + 2020 #COVID19 updated strategy. ⠀ ⠀ The key to business success is how you handle change. Winning comes from making small movements, not large pivots or failure to change at all. Business change can come from losing or gaining a client, losing your best employee or new competitor entering your market. Do not overreact! Stick to your business plan, strategy and marketing tactics as long as you can until it's evident that you must make a change. The market will tell you when it's time for adjustments. ⠀ ⠀ When you do make changes, do it concisely and decisively. Winning at business means being able to handle change better than the other people in your space. Adapt and adjust. You can't be the "flavor of the week" and try something new all the time, but you also can't stick to "this is how we've always done it" and never make adjustments. Choose a happy medium between the two concepts. ⠀ . . . . #SaturdayMorningHustle The Accidental Entrepreneur – If I can do it, you can do it. Can you believe I have owned or operated my own business (of some sort) for over 30 years now? I didn't even know the word Entrepreneur when I started. Now, I'm a full-time #Entrepreneur helping others do the same. It's not for everyone, but everyone can benefit from adding an entrepreneurial mindset. ⠀ ⠀ @TheGoldingGroup is the latest in a long line of business ventures I have been involved in since my first when I was just 15 years old. To hear the full story, from the music business to marketing to business development, listen then make a comment with your own story.⠀ ⠀ Saturday Morning Hustle Flashback – I posted a social media video 3 years ago (swipe right) fully explained along with what makes an entrepreneur, why new businesses are important and what this means for non-entrepreneurs. Today, I'm expanding on that idea and going WAY deeper into the process, the unexpected events and what it all means. ⠀ ⠀ Hit me up on Anchor, Instagram, Twitter or here on YouTube with questions, comments and feedback.
