#SaturdayMorningHustle Flashback topic from 3 years ago: Focus for Success! Harness the power of focus to create successful opportunities for yourself. Never do something simply because you “can” or because there’s money to be made. Instead, focus on activities you have passion for it. Don’t chase money, because it never works out correctly. Stay in your lane. Stay focused.⠀ ⠀ One of the excuses I often hear for not focusing on a singular or small set of activity is missing opportunities. But not focusing most often takes a business in too many directions at the same time. Focus on your core offerings instead of diluting your brand your message and your communication. Be the best at what you do, not a jack-of-all-trades / master of none. ⠀ ⠀ Good luck! Let me know how I can help you and your business. I'm here to help (and drink coffee). Hit me up on Anchor, Instagram, Twitter or YouTube with questions, comments and feedback. It's Saturday, I'm in the office so it must be the Saturday Morning Hustle. Listen to the podcast every weekend while your competition is still sleeping. https://saturdaymorninghustle.com⠀ iTunes: http://bit.ly/SatMornHustle⠀ Spotify: http://bit.ly/SaturdayMorningHustle⠀ Anchor: https://anchor.fm/satmorninghustle⠀ Google Podcast: https://bit.ly/SMHGooglePod⠀ YouTube: https://bit.ly/SMHvideos⠀ ⠀ Swipe right for 2017 "The word of the day is FOCUS!" #SaturdayMorningHustle advice: Stay in your lane, do that thing you do the way you do it. Too many people look at ways others are making money or having success and want to add that to what they are already doing. This is a terrible idea.⠀ ⠀ The best business is very specifically focused on a core offering. That is what people expect and like about doing business with you. Adding extras for no reason other than you can do it (but you're not the best at it) or just to make "easy" money dilutes your brand, message, customer experience, staff attention, etc…. PLUS you will be competing with those you are copying. The advantage is theirs.”⠀ ⠀ To be successful, stay focused!" #Focus #Strategy #Specialize #Success #Hustle #Grind #EvenOnTheWeekend #WorkSmart then #WorkHard #Entrepreneur

Success is def. a journey and not a destination, but not an A – B trip. Why? I will tell you today on the #SaturdayMorningHustle podcast. You can't get too set on an idea of success, because "the real world" will make changes to that picture. Don't believe me, just ask Luguentz (Lu) Dort, starting shooting guard for the OKC Thunder NBA franchise. His story just might be your story (not really, but we can learn from his unconventional path to success).⠀ ⠀ My own path to success has taken many, many unexpected turns over the last 35 years. 15 years in the music business, 20 years in marketing as a graphic designer, creative director, C-suite and business owner multiple times in multiple structures. Some successful, some not but all merge to my current place in my success journey.⠀ ⠀ Not sure what I mean? Let's talk about it. ⠀ It's Saturday, I'm in the office so it must be the #SaturdayMorningHustle.
